Gazebo Gardens Nursery
One of our favorite places to visit. This beer garden has great food trucks and lives music, within a beautiful setting. This is the perfect place to spend a weekend evening.
Ampersand Ice Cream
Who doesn’t love ice cream? This place is a local favorite. With wacky flavors like Honeycomb and Whisky Caramel, indulge your sweet tooth at Ampersand.
Old Town Clovis Farmers Market
There’s nothing quite like spending a Friday night at the farmers market, complete with live music and great food. See the link below for a schedule and more information.
Vineyard Farmers Market
Just a great place to get fresh produce grown locally. Fantastic place to visit on a Saturday morning and check out the local cuisine. See the links below for more information.
Madera Drive-In movie theatre
There’s just something wildly nostalgic about a drive-in movie theatre, and this is one of the best. See the link below for updated showtimes.
Kings River Expeditions whitewater rafting
The wild Kings River flows to the southeast of Fresno, and many companies offer whitewater rafting through turbulent and fun stretches.
Fresno Grizzlies baseball games

Art Hop
This art walk in downtown Fresno is held monthly on the first and third Thursday nights of each month. Take the entire family out to enjoy local art and cuisine in a historic setting.
Chaffee Zoo Storyland / Playland

Our local lakes
Are you the type who loves to get out on the water, whether it’s to fish or to ride around on the water skis? Fresno is home to five incredible lakes, each with something different to offer. If you’re looking for things to do in Fresno and the surrounding areas, be sure to check them out!
Shaver Lake
Located in the Sierra National Forest and one hour from downtown Fresno, Shaver Lake is home to great fishing, boating, and the adjacent town of Shaver Lake.
Huntington Lake
Located high in the Sierra Nevadas, this lake sits at about 7,000 feet and is about one hour and forty minutes from Fresno.
Millerton Lake
Less than 30 minutes north of the city lies Millerton Lake, one of the largest lakes in the Fresno area and home to great fishing and hiking.
Bass Lake
Drive one hour north and you’ll reach Bass Lake. This is one of the more stunning lakes within a quick drive of Fresno.
Pine Flat Lake
About 45 minutes east of Fresno is Pine Flat Lake, where you can fish, boat, water ski, and more. It’s a great place to relax.

Sequoia National Forest
Famous for the Giant Sequoia trees that tower overhead, the Sequoia National Forest is one hour and thirty minutes southwest of Fresno.
Kings Canyon National Park
One of the most stunning natural places in a state that is full of them. Sequoia trees, wild rivers, and lakes are popular sights.
Local Water Parks
